the echoes of silence are driving me to the brink… my brain keeps searching for sound…. inventing its own… #

The snow has finally stopped, and I have been able to climb out of my hole.. The landscape almost look normal when its covered by white.. #

iv lost pretty much all my body weight in the last few weeks.. and lots of precious muscle as well… I am not up for any surprises.. #

wet snow today… I never get a break! Was going to try to hit a farm i saw during my last outing, but i am so weak… #

i can hear something hitting against the outside of the aluminum shed… there is no way the muts would be thaw already…. #

im in no shape to go out and look.. so we will just leave it at that… I need to pack more bottles with snow… running low on water #

sun was out all day.. looks like some of the snow starting to melt… maybe a good thing…. maybe a bad thing.. means the muts melt too #

I might load it up and try to head to that farm… who knows what ill find there… going tomorrow… #

it has been some time since my last update… i have fallen very ill… very lonely… depressed… I don't know why i keep this up.. #

the winter vale is lifting… i was finally able to clear off my solar panels.. its been so long since i had power.. so long iv been sick.. #

with the sun comes hope… hope i am not the only one… hope i can get these voices out of my head… the sounds i hear… #

Night time…. gurgling moans echo the night sky… the cold chill runs up and down my spine… #

it is snowing again…. #

i definitely have some sort of virus…. its settled in my chest and sinuses… I had a few antibiotics that i found, but it wasn't enough.. #

over a foot of snow outside…. i am running a fever… have the shakes.. I might have to go out and find more medication…. #

suddenly something hit my face… I put my hand up and felt where it hit… cold and wet… A quick look around confirmed what i saw… snow #

i felt the cold come in over the last few days, but i have a hard time remembering time and date nowadays… must be Nov or Dec #

i cant even trust the computer time.. its not hooked into any time server… i just guess… and watch the seasons… #

I best make my way back to the safe house… last thing I want is to be caught up in a blizzard. i can feel the temperature getting dropping #

zombies get slow in the cold, but never freeze.. its strange… the virus radiates enough heat to keep them mobile.. keep them dangerous.. #

snowing for 24 hours now… more then a foot of snow has accumulated… It made getting back to the safe house difficult, but now it back.. #

all i can hear is the wind outside….. so dark….. so cold…… #

After waiting for what seemed hours, I decided to check out a new building… I carefully scaled down the hill side from my hiding spot.. #

at the bottom was an old fence covered in vines and weeds.. it was easy to climb over it… dropping off into a parking lot behind my target #

i took a quick look around, but the lot was mostly empty except for three cars… one of which was burnt up… the others trunk was open.. #

i slowly approached the car… looking into the open trunk.. i could see a suit case.. and a larger longer case… my interest was peaked.. #

Notable find: Long case (hunting rifle with scope, 1 box of 23 rounds, Suit case (w-tennis shoes (s-4), 6 packs instant noodles, clothing) #

I took the rifle out of the case and slung it across my back.. stuffed the shells in my backpack with the instant noodles.. #

as i turned to leave i thought i saw something in the car shift to the side.. I backed away slowly, staring through the back window.. #

there it was again! something inside moved! i didn't really care what it was, as long as it was stuck inside, so i turned to the building… #

it looked like one of those Bed, Bath and Beyond retail stores… i wasn't sure what good it would do me… the risk was not worth going in. #

A sudden thump behind me reminded me to turn around… the door of the car suddenly creaked open… coming to rest with a popping sound… #

A small zombie child tumbled chaotically to the ground. squirming in an uncoordinated set of motions, as it reached for me… #

I approached the creature slowly… my mind was full of anguish that i could not bare… Some times i feel like i just cant go on… #

I ended the creature…. I feel numb… #

I was able to slip away… took me a few moments to loose them… The two stood in the alley crying out and thrashing their arms.. #

these creatures have no emotion, yet at time they seem to display just that. maybe an instinct left over…. #

Maybe they just go through the motions… like feeling arm pain when your arm has been long removed…. ghost pains #

I tried the door nob.. locked… but the door felt thin.. I bet I could bust through it.. I backed away a little and prepared myself.. #

With a sudden advance I lunged at the door with my shoulder… the frame cracked as the entire door dislodged and fell to the ground.. #

A flurry of activity erupted around me… i think i counted three creatures, but it could have been more… I quickly flipped onto my back #

the first got on top of me but i was able to push it back with my feet.. I drew the .22 from my belt with an almost trained motion. ((BANG)) #

I used my legs to launch it into the other two, who were no coming to view.. As i tried to right myself, I noticed two more on my left… #

I backed out the door.. leading them behind me.. One gun shot was enough to gain a few looks, but four more would definitely gather a crowd. #

Need to go back out into the alley way, and lose these four. Then hide some place until they lose interest. Hope i don't run into any more #

I figured i would secure the steps first, and good thing i did.. Just at the top of the steps was a swaying zombie.. or swayer.. #

sways are the zombies that stand there swaying back and forth, staring into nothingness… They are usually easy to sneak up on.. #

I need to be quiet so I pulled out the crowbar and gave it a quick whack… making it stumble forward into the door.. but it wasn't done yet #

it took two more whacks to make it stop moving… damn thing had a hard head… and made a nasty mess… spattered all over my jacket.. mess #

I checked the door at the top of the steps. it looked like it has been through a war, but still remained locked and secure.. I will leave it #

I went back down stairs.. I would try the door across from the steps.. It was unlocked.. so i slowly pushed it open to reveal a storage room #

After a quick once over, I realized its a storage for files and such.. nothing important or of need to me… #

Notable find: A rolled up canvas emergency tool kit #

As i drew near to the door in the back or the hallway… I instantly noticed a repugnant smell emanating from that direction.. #

now don't get me wrong, all of the world smells of the rotten stench of decay.. but this was very strong… #

You could say… trapped in a small space for days with the heater on…. strong.. which is usually a warning not to proceed any further.. #

But while i was already here and had cleared out most the building, I figured why not.. I pulled the scarf around my neck up over my mouth.. #

I then pulled my goggles down over my eyes… you would be surprised how much the stench of decay can sting the eyes.. and all the flies.. #

I crept up to the door… and placed my shoulder against it.. pausing for a moment to give it a listen… its quiet… #
